Discount Decorating Outlet in Fairview Heights and two of its employees are being sued by a customer whose foot was injured when a shelf was dropped on it.
Lisa Anderson of Madison County filed suit in St. Clair County July 29 claiming the store and employees Heather Savage and Sheila Gehner--who were carrying a display cabinet--were negligent for allowing a shelf to fall on her foot July 30, 2003.
"Plaintiff suffered great pain, permanent disability and mental anguish," the complaint states.
The three-count suits seeks in excess of $60,000.
Anderson is represented by Eric M. Rhein of Belleville.
