Greg Hensler filed suit against Mustang Sally’s Bar and Grill in East St. Louis seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for tripping on a barstool that was in the middle of a dark walkway.
According to a suit filed June 24 in Madison County Circuit Court, Hensler claims Mustang Sally's intentionally placed the barstool in his path leading to the bar's entrance at 1 a.m. on June 26, 2003.
Hensler claims as a result, he shattered his wrist which caused pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, and lost wages.
Hensler is represented by Barbara Sherer of Edwardsville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Philip Kardis in Granite City.
