On her way to vote at an ice skating rink at Granite City's Wilson Park during the last municipal election, Sharron Case tripped on an uneven sidewalk and sustained serious injuries. She is suing the city's park district for more than $50,000.

The polling place is located at the park in the 2700-2900 block of Benton Ave. in Granite City.

Reprsented by John H. Hustava of Collinsville, Case claims she broke her wrist and suffered neck, shoulder, back, knee and face injuries after tripping on a two-inch raised sidewalk on April 5.

She is seeking damages for pain, suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.
