Wednesday, April 24, 2024

FELA suit filed against Terminal Railroad Assn.

Ralph Jackson filed suit April 27 in Madison County Circuit Court against Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis alleging that he was injured while working as a truck operator and laborer.

Represented by David Jones of Pratt & Tobin of East Alton, Jackson is seeking a judgment in excess of $100,000 and for all costs of the suit.

According to the complaint, throughout Jackson's career on the railroad beginning in 2001 he was subjected to repetitive trauma while repairing railroad tracks for Terminal.

Jackson claims Terminal failed to provide him with a safe place, safe methods, sufficient manpower and safe tools and equipment.

As a result, Jackson claims he sustained injuries to his hands, wrists and body, resulting in disability and disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of earnings and medical bills.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andy Matoesian.
