Heyl Royster announces Ingram and Pinter as partners in Edwardsville

Attorneys Sara Ingram and Gary Pinter have been named partners at Heyl Royster in its Edwardsville office.

Ingram, who joined the firm in 2006, focuses her practice in the area of general tort litigation, with a particular interest in the defense of asbestos claims, healthcare matters, and professional liability cases. She had been involved in the defense of numerous asbestos personal injury suits involving parties in both Illinois and Missouri.

Ingram is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chapter, having previously served as the organization's donor recognition chair.

She received her juris doctorate. from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she served as a Taylor Mattis Fellow and was a student member of the American College of Legal Medicine. She also served as a legal intern for the legal department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Ingram received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Pinter defends a broad range of litigation, including complex toxic tort, product liability, premises liability, professional liability, trucking and transportation, insurance coverage, defamation and other general personal injury and property damage liability matters.

He serves as the client team leader for several of the firm’s clients defending asbestos personal injury lawsuits; assisting with the defense, resolution and management of those claims.

Pinter is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Insurance Law Section, which includes quarterly submissions to its publication - The Policy.

Prior to law school, he served in the U.S. Army between 2000 and 2004, which included being selected as the Distinguished Honor Graduate from the Army's Primary Leadership Development Course and service in combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom as a non-commissioned officer.

Pinter graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University's College of Law, where he was the managing editor of the Law Review and was published in its Journal.

Prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army, he received his bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in the Administration of Justice. He joined the firm in 2007 in the Edwardsville office.
