A woman has filed suit against the semi-truck driver whom she alleges ran over her foot, crushing it.
Kimberley Watson filed a lawsuit Dec. 30, 2014, in Madison County Circuit Court against Ron Skiff and Ron's Truck Service.
According to the complaint, Watson was waiting to cross the street in the 1800 block of Third Street in Madison on Jan. 7, 2013, when Skiff, who was driving a vehicle for Ron's Truck Service, ran over her foot. Because of the incident, Watson suffered severe pain and disability, lost her earnings and earning capacity, lost her normal life and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
Skiff negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and drove so close to Watson as to run over her foot, the suit states.
Watson seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Ronald A. Roth of Roth Law Offices in Granite City.
