Chicago trial lawyers looking to put $1 billion dollars in their own pockets have launched a campaign to unseat Supreme Court Justice Lloyd Karmeier. Stop this unprecedented anti-retention campaign trying to harm the very Supreme Court Justice that has evidenced uncompromising standards of integrity and impartiality.
He is endorsed by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Education Association and former Governor Jim Edgar.
Justice Karmeier also is recommended for retention by the Illinois State Bar Association.
The deceitful attempt to remove Justice Karmeier is not the first. In September, these same trial lawyers attempted to recuse Justice Karmeier from their own case pending at the Supreme Court. When that didn’t work, they began their million dollar anti-retention campaign to try and remove Justice Lloyd Karmeier from the bench.
Justice Karmeier is an independent, impartial jurist with uncompromising standards of integrity. He has ruled in favor of business and organized labor, thus being a true independent voice on the Illinois Supreme Court.
Justice Karmeier brings a long-tenured fair opinion to the Illinois Supreme Court grounded in downstate Illinois values. Justice Karmeier's fair and independent voice has led the way on the bench and produced even-handed decisions that are based on a strong interpretation of the Illinois Constitution.
Justice Karmeier's honesty is further reinforced by his small town Washington County roots. His strong southern Illinois values serve as the basis for his judicial philosophy.
He will continue to be a strong advocate for a balanced judiciary and deserves your support as he runs for retention on November 4.
