A Madison County man claims a driver crashed into him at an Alton intersection.
Raymond Elmendorf filed a lawsuit on Sept. 26 in Madison County Circuit Court against Carole Manly.
The alleged crash happened on Feb. 19 on Belle Street near the intersection with State Street in Alton. According to the complaint, Elmendorf was driving his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado south on Belle while Manly was driving north on State.
Elmendorf contends Manly attempted to turn left from State onto Belle, but hit his vehicle. He accuses the defendant of negligence and asks to be awarded more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
