An Edwardsville man alleges he was hurt while using an elevator at work.
Donya George filed a lawsuit Sept. 12 against Olin Corp. in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, George was working for Storeroom Solutions in Building 25 in November 2013. He says he was required to use an east end freight elevator on the job. However, George contends he hurt his shoulder on the elevator doors.
George accuses the Olin Corporation, the owner of Building 25, of negligence for allegedly failing to properly maintain the freight elevator. He asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income, pain and suffering.
George is represented by attorney Gregory L. Shevlin of Belleville.
