A Washington County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision at the intersection of State Route 127 and Exchange Avenue in Nashville.
Sandra Smith filed a lawsuit Aug. 1 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Adam Irwin, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Smith was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Exchange Avenue and State Route 127 on Aug. 31, 2012, when Irwin swerved to avoid hitting a car stopped adjacent Smith on State Route 127 and struck the side of Smith's vehicle. Smith says she sustained injuries and accuses Irwin of negligence.
Smith is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorneys Natalie T. Lorenz and William J. Niehoff of Mathis, Marifian & Richter Ltd. in Belleville.
