A two-car collision on Route 162 has prompted a lawsuit.
Heather Myatt filed suit June 23 in Madison County Circuit Court against Stacy Stanford.
According to the complaint, on April 2, 2013, Myatt was driving her vehicle west on Route 162 in Maryville when a vehicle driven by Stanford failed to stop and rear-ended the plaintiff's vehicle, causing injury and damages. The defendant is accused of failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to properly apply the brakes, driving at excessive speed, following the plaintiff's vehicle too closely and operating a vehicle without adequate brakes.
Myatt is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Collinsville attorney John H. Hustava.
