A woman claims she sustained injuries during a collision.
Sharla R. Withers filed a lawsuit Feb. 21 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Diane M. Lanter.
In her complaint, Withers alleges she drove east on Homer Adams Parkway in Alton on April 19, 2012, when Lanter, who drove in the same direction, struck her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Withers incurred medical costs, lost income and her normal life and experienced pain and suffering, according to the complaint. Withers blames Lanter for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to reduce her speed to avoid a collision.
Withers is sseking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just. She is being represented by David W. Dugan of East Alton.
