The Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) and Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation are co-sponsoring an appellate attorney panel luncheon at noon on Friday, March 14.
Panelists will include professor emeritus Edward Kionka of Southern Illinois University Law School; Michael Scodro, Illinois Solicitor General from 2006-2014 and currently with Jenner & Block in Chicago; and Jonathan Loew of Much Shelist in Chicago.
The moderator will be former ALA President William Hardy of Hinshaw & Culbertson in Springfield.
The event will be held at the Activity Center of the Collinsville Area Recreational District, 10 Gateway Drive in Collinsville.
Training is free for Land of Lincoln pro bono and staff attorneys and Appellate Lawyers Association members. All other attorneys will be charged $25 to attend.
Trainees should bring their own lunch; beverages will be provided.
One hour of continuing legal education (CLE) will be awarded for attending.
