A Madison County man says he was hurt when the car he was riding in was rear-ended in Alton.
Andrew Gowin filed a lawsuit against Sarah Hoefert Nov. 22 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Gowin says he was a passenger in a car driving south on Humbert Road in November 2011. Near Alton High School, according to the complaint, the car Gowin was riding in was hit from behind by a car driven by Hoefert.
Gowin accuses Hoefert of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.
