A St. Clair County woman is suing the driver of a car that allegedly rear-ended her while she was driving in Belleville.
Elizabeth Brendel filed a lawsuit against Carolyn M. August on Oct. 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Brendel says she was driving her Kia Rio on North Belt West in October 2010 when she came to a stop and prepared to turn right into Adair Gardens Pet Hospital. Brendel claims she was hit from behind by a car being driven by August. Brendel accuses August of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income and costs of the lawsuit.
Attorney Mark S. Peebles of Belleville represents Brendel.
