A Collinsville man says he was hurt when his car was hit by a drunk driver.
Mohammed Khadhider filed a lawsuit Aug. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Carrington Roberson.
Khadhider says he was driving east on Interstate 55/70/64 in St. Clair County in August 2011. Khadhider claims Roberson was driving in the lane next to him, veered her car into Khadhider’s lane and crashed into him. According to the lawsuit, Roberson was arrested after the crash by the Illinois State Police on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Khadhider accuses Roberson of negligence and seeks more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
Attorney Ely Hadowsky of St. Louis represents Khadhider. They ask for a jury trial.
