Schnucks blamed for falling soda cans in $50k lawsuit

9/5/2008 12:57 PM

Schnucks
Patricia Quinlan has filed suit against Schnucks Markets, Inc., alleging she was injured when she was hit by falling soda cans.

Quinlan claims she was shopping for groceries on Sept. 5 when she was struck in the head by falling soda cans, according to a complaint filed Sept. 3 in Madison County Circuit Cour.

She claims she incurred medical costs, pain, suffering and physical injuries including bodily injury to her upper extremities and other parts of her body.

Quinlan claims Schnucks Markets was negligent because it failed to maintain the soda cans in a way so that they would not fall.

She is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000.

Quinlan is represented by Brian L. Polinske of Polinske & Associates in Edwardsville.
