Dog bite 10 years ago subject of civil suit

4/23/2008 6:55 PM

Sarah George filed a civil suit against Brian and Julie Brenton in Madison County Circuit Court April 21, alleging she was bitten by a dog 10 years ago when she was a minor.

According to the complaint, George was born on April 22, 1988, and was attacked by the Brenton's dog on Jan. 2, 1998, at their home located at 6811 Worden Road in Worden.

George alleges that without provocation by her or anyone else, the dog attacked her and bit her in the face and body.

She claims she was severely injured and has and will continue to suffer pain and that she and her parents were required to expend money for medical expenses.

Represented by Roger Murphy of Worden, George is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andy Matoesian.
